If you want to find out more information on MotorWorld – See Here.MaThe long wait in anticipation of the start of the 2005 Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series for racing fans is over, as the city of Adelaide hosts the bumper opening round and flagship event of the world's most competitive Touring Car series, the Clipsal 500 this weekend.įord Performance Racing (FPR) 2005 season drivers Jason Bright and Greg Ritter are well prepared for this opening round, following the team's top ten performances at the season warm up event at the Melbourne Grand Prix a fortnight ago.īright will be competing in the team's 2004 configuration CAT FPR Falcon, with Ritter once again taking to the track in the team's new 2005 Ford Credit FPV Falcon chassis which made a very promising and reliable debut at the Grand Prix. Once again we Thank Gareth and the team at MotorWorld for inviting us to take part in the event it was a beautiful weekend with heaps of diverse motorsport. In the mix the new Toyota 86 Cup was present, a huge field of young and upcoming drivers ready to prove their worth. Was great to see some of the legends of V8 Supercars in the mix of busy pit-crews and event goers. Moving into the pits area the V8 Supercars and their entourage of big rigs took over all our attention, these huge trucks convoy around Australia escorting the championship.

It was great to see our good friend Shane Smollen out and about, more importantly achieving greatness on the racetrack. Along with the Australian series there was also a Chinese series which basically have their cars waiting and ready in shipping containers to be shipped from track to track and raced across many countries! Big motorsport. Going through the attractions we found ourselves on the skidpan which had been set up as a Porsche Cup wonderland. To see some of the newest model GT cars racing together at our local track is always a special feeling especially when hearing the 911’s scream louder than the alternate turbocharged competitors. When we arrived on Saturday morning we were welcomed by the road of the Australian GT about one third of the way through their Saturday race. Through the weekend thousands of avid car enthusiasts would have been able to get up close and personal with the three beautiful cars. Our new Porsche Cayman GT4 was on display alongside a new 991 Carrera4s Targa from Tekno Performance Sydney and the experience giver, SMP’s very own Ferrari F430. Last weekend saw Gareth and the team from MotorWorld displaying at the Red Rooster Sydney Super-Sprint at Sydney Motorsport Park. Until then they have just kicked off some marketing and in turn have started promoting at alternate events.
